He was predeceased by: his parents, Eber C. Downes, Sr. and Mabel Jones Downes. He is survived by: his spouse Nancy Richardson Downes; his stepchildren, Bruce Richardson, Christian Richardson and Eve R. Carstens (Johnny); his sister-in-law Frances Downes; his stepgrandchildren, Nathan Richardson, Elizabeth Richardson, Samuel Richardson and Will Carstens; and his nieces, Patricia Peters (Pete), Cheryl Saher (Wes), Mandy Peters and Cassie Byrn (Jimmy).
