He was predeceased by: his parents, Emlius Tearthur Lassiter and Clyde Smith Lassiter; his siblings, Woody Lassiter, Starkey Lassiter, Sam Lassiter, Texanna Lassiter, Rosa Parks, Allie Mae Byrd, Audrey Copeland, Katie Shores and Carrie Lassiter; his sons, Jerry C. Lassiter, Jr. and Mark A. Lassiter; and his stepson Donald Sparrow.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Yothers Lassiter; his children, Steve Lassiter (Mary) and Carol Charnock; and his stepchildren, Barbara Jones (Robert), Michael Sparrow (Mary Jo), Wade McLean (Lisa) and Shannon Feltes (Chris).
