He is survived by: his wife Patricia Costello Scala; his sons, Anthony Scala of Cape Charles, Michael Scala of Pennsylvania and Matthew Scala of New York; his sisters, Grace Bowie of New Jersey, Margie Bushman of New Jersey, Jean Corccaro of New Jersey and Theresa Scala of New Jersey; and his granddaughter Claire Scala of New York.
