It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pete Hamilton of Cana, Virginia, who passed away on December 10, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Pete departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Pete may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Pete leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his mother Nina Ann Taylor Haumacher; his wife Peggy Marylue Berrier Hamilton; and his stepfather Jack Haumacher. He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda; his son-in-law Thompkins; and his sisters, Neina Draughn and Benney Rickard.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Oak Ridge Baptist Church (160 Oak Ridge Rd, Cana, VA 24317). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
