He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Woods and Etta Bell Edwards Woods; his wife Judy Carlene Norman Woods; and his siblings, Kathleen Edwards, Maxine Edwards, Brenda Edwards, Junior, Rudy, Sonny, Franklin Woods and Rev. Eugene Edwards.
He is survived by: his children, Margaret Ann Johnson (Darrell) and Bobby Ray Freeman (Falicity); his grandchildren, Kimberly Elizabeth Nieft, Carl Everett Freeman and Carly June Jordan; his great grandchildren, Liam, Brantley, Thatcher and Judiana; and his sisters, Rushie Fauland, Frances Woods, Audrey Woods and Sandra Woods. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
