He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence William Yeatman and Bertie Adell Dodson Yeatman; his wife Clara Dawson; and his sister-in-law Nettie Hughes. He is survived by: his sons, Billy, William L. Yeatman, Jr. (Debbie) and David Alan Yeatman (Ann); his grandchildren, Tiffanny Yeatman, Kristi Yeatman, D. Alan Yeatman (Becky) and J. W. Yeatman (Gabby); his great grandchild Kaiden A. Yeatman; his siblings, Rosie Huntley (Howard) and Albert Yeatman (Sharon); his stepgrandchildren, Sofia, Ray and Liam Rubio; and his friend Reverend Jimmy Reamy.
