He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Hayes and Grace Saunders Hayes; his son Thomas Edward "Pete" Hayes; and his brothers, Arnold "Buck" Hayes, Robert "Butch" Hayes, Roger Hayes, Harvey "Billy" Hayes and Harold Hayes.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Ann Hayes; his children, Warren Wilson Hayes, Jr. (Anita), Randy Hayes, Jeffrey Allen Hayes (Traci), Connie Sue Price (Dale) and Sandy Hayes Brann (Ronnie); and his siblings, Gordon F. Hayes and Bertha Seay. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
