She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Alessi and Muriel Doty Alessi; her siblings, Muriel Andersen, Betty Andersen, Sandra Alessi and Edward Hare; and her son-in-law David O'Connell.
She is survived by: her husband Homer; her sister Judith Lewis (Calvin) of Callao; her daughters, Kathleen Cochran (Michael) of Williamsburg and Susan Lewis of Callao; her grandchildren, Joshua O'Connell (Marina) of Sterling, Rebekah Morrison (Alexander) of Toano and Lily Lewis of Callao; and her great grandchildren, Emalyn, Owen O'Connell of Sterling and Jackson Morrison. She is also survived by many brothers and sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, and life-long friends.
