He is survived by: his wife Alice McGhee Merricks; his siblings, Jimmie Merricks, Phyllis Garrett (Claiborne) and Janet McDowell; his stepchildren, Debra Turner (Michael) and Eddie Rigney (Karen); his grandchildren, Cory Merricks (Kerry), Macie Merricks and Skyler Merricks; and his great grandchildren, Devon, Bryce and Holden Merricks. He is also survived by three step grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
