She was predeceased by: her husband Willie Forest Blount; and her son Walker Blount Sr.. She is survived by: her children, William F. Blount (Sheila), Bessie Weaver (James), Thomas D. Blount (Birdie), Sherman A. Blount (Monica) and David B. Blount (Charlin). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
