It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Anne McConnell (Bumpass, Virginia), born in Alexandria, Virginia, who passed away on November 15, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hawsie Bryant and Pauline Wood; her husbands, Robert Aylor and Thornton Montgomery; her close friend Calvin Quick; her daughter Roxanne; her grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Wood, Trent Eugene Davidson and Albert Clifford Wood III; her sister Irene Carter; and her half-sisters, Judy Sholes, Janice Henshaw, Peggy Sholes and Donna Martin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Aylor-Polisoto (Diane) of Lewes, Teresa Aylor of Spotsylvania, Candace Aylor of Lorton and Robin Davidson of Partlow, Virginia.; and her grandchildren, Brian of Angie, T. J., Alex, Deion, Derrick, Lauren, Christopher, Valorie and Vincent. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made to Falls Run Nursing and Rehabilitation, 140 Brimley Rd, Fredericksburg VA 22406 in memory of Shirley McConnell.
