He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Minor and Annie V. Minor; his wife Catherine Minor; and his siblings, William Minor, Sam Minor, Louis Minor, Joseph Minor, Daniel Minor, John Henry Minor, Edward Minor, Betty Ross, Mary Trotter and Annie Bell Boggs.
He is survived by: his children, JoAnn Hill (Larry), Dianne Reynolds (James Sr.), Patricia Marshall (Benjamin, Jr.) and Russell Earl (Carla); his grandchildren, Darnell Minor, Derrick Derricott, James Reynolds, Jr., Darnesha Cowger (Tom), Lindsae Reynolds, Jazzmin Wallace-Birchette (Terry), Asia Sisk and Amanda Hill; his great grandchildren, Kanias Minor, Sr., Myles Banks (Makayla) and Christian Reynolds-Lewis; his great great grandchildren, Kanias Minor, Jr., Zina Banks and Liam Banks; his sisters-in-law, Ruth Minor, Thelma Minor, Rosa Green and Marian Green; and his close friend Genievieve Hart. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
Due to the pandemic, a private funeral service will be held at A. L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home on August 26, 2021.
