He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Stanley and Adna Stanley; his son Robert Earl Stanley; and his brothers, Elwood Stanley, Jr. and Richard Stanley.
He is survived by: his children, Melody Bowers, Ronald Stanley (Ruth), Rosa Rudd (Earl), Barbara Delooze and Yolonda Talley; his sisters, Nancy Scruggs, Patsy Dymacek and Barbara Dixon; his grandchildren, Anastasia, Brandon, Brittany and Victor; and his great grandchildren, Natasha and Ethan.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lacy Funeral Home (6241 Cross County Rd, Mineral, VA 23117). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Salem Christian Church (4023 Paynes Mill Rd, Bumpass, VA 23024). A reception was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Tavern (81 Tavern Rd, Mineral, VA 23117).
