It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mattie Jean Smith of Bumpass, Virginia, who passed away on January 27, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Stanley and Bell Stanley; and her daughter Linda Sue Smith. She is survived by: her children, Christine, Linwood (Elaine) and Percy (Tammy); her caregiver Linda Jones; and her niece Eunice Hensley (Pam Patrick). She is also survived by three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
