He is survived by: his children, Diana Cubbage of Virginia, John Verts, Jr. of Virginia, Linda Walls of Virginia and Barbara Verts of Illinois; and his siblings, Peggy Fletcher of Marshall, VA, Barbara Verts of Maryland and Charles Verts of Florida. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren.
