He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Willie Ellis and Ramona Diggs; his sisters, Kim O'Connell (Scott) of Bumpass, Jackie Marden (Brice) of Bumpass, Cheryl Diggs of Staunton and Karen Snelson (Billy); his nieces and nephews, Brice, Ashley Marden, David Marden, Will Hart, Pam Marden and Ryan Wheeler; his great-nieces, Adalynn and Eliza Grace Marden; his aunts, Lucille Andrews of Bumpass and Louise Kopcho of Amelia; and his uncle E. K. Mallory (Doris) of Bumpass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont in Charlottesville, or Little River Baptist Church.
