She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmond Jones Link and Sadie Lillian Tysinger Link; her husband Louis G. Howerton; her son James L. Howerton; her sisters, Ella Link Smith and Mary Lois Glasscock; her children-in-law, Gary O. Risland, Dennis E. Price and Cindy Howerton; and her grandchildren, Dennis W. Price, Rhonda M. Price and Jamie L. Howerton.
She is survived by: her sister Ruby L. Parrish of Rougemont, NC; and her children, Mark Howerton (Brenda) of Clarksville, John Howerton of Nathalie, David Howerton, Timothy Howerton of Buffalo Junction, Mary Lou H. Walker of Buffalo Junction, Sarah H. Price Evans (Perry) of Boydton and Eunice H. Risland of Smyrna, GA.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, 1 step grandson, 4 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.
