He was predeceased by: his former wife Susan Yancey; his parents, Ledford Sizemore Yancey and Pauline Williamson Bannister; and his brother Steve Yancey. He is survived by: his wife Susie; his siblings, Timothy S. Bannister (Lisa) of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Jaymee B. May (Doug) of Apex, NC and Jimmie S. Bannister of Cary, NC.; his sister-in-law Nellie Yancey of Wake Forest, NC.; and his nieces and nephews, Ryan Bannister (Kathleen), Hunter Bannister, Jordan May, Dillon May and Steven Yancey (Amy).
