She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Albert Walton; her son Melvin Junior Barksdale; and her brothers, Kenneth, Glenn Sr. and John Barksdale.
She is survived by: her sons, Joseph Carr (Rhonda) of Buffalo Junction, VA and Timothy Walton (Farrah) of Oxford, NC.
