He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Joseph Harrison Burnette; his wife Vicky Lynn Smith Burnette; his daughters, Holly Burnette of Clarksville, Hope Melton of Glen Allen and Avee Runser of Davidson, NC; his sons-in-law, Dr. Adam Melton and Dr. Lloyd Runser; his grandchildren, Ruby, Joe Melton, Rose and Mac Runser; his brother Alex Burnette (Zalene) of Roxboro, NC; his siblings-in-law, Cherry Burnette of South Boston, VA and Hank Immel of Clarksville, VA.; his siblings, Robert "Bob" Burnette of South Boston, VA and Betty Jo Burnette of Clarksville, VA; his niece Ginger Burnette of South Boston; and his brothers-in-law, Gordon Smith (Deb) and Stanley Smith (Kathy). He was also cherished by The extended family consists of numerous beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
