It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlotte Mae Lester of Buffalo Junction, Virginia, who passed away on December 14, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Braxton and Willie Coleman Poole; and her sister Lucinda Sanford. She is survived by: her husband Rev. James W. Lester of Buffalo Junction, VA; her children, Deborah G. Lester of Perth Amboy, NJ and Whitt Lester (Judy) of Brooklyn, NY; her grandchildren, Sherrell Danielle Johnson, Whitney Lester, Darryl Daniel and Devontay Edwards; and her sisters, Mattie Riddick (Millard) of Portsmouth, VA, Emma Coleman Carr (Rodney) of Boston, Mass, Willie C. Smith of New York, NY and Mildred Boone (Charlie) of Newark, NJ.
