She is survived by: her parents, Mary Catherine "Cathy" and Wallace R. Bowen, Jr.; her sisters, Melissa K. Hightower (Brad) and Renee Jackson; her aunts, Sarah Caknipe and Nancy Rice (Bob); her uncle Gary Bowen; her nieces, Courtney Caknipe and Jasmine Nichole Kittrell; and her nephew George Theodore Kittrell III (Richard Green).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to Lake Country SPCA and the Mecklenburg County Cancer Association be considered.
