It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sara Mayo (Buckingham, Virginia), who passed away on May 1, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Scott and Sara Elizabeth Scott; her husband George Wesley Mayo Jr.; and her brothers, Johnny, Floyd, Henry, Steve and Robert Scott.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Wayne Mayo (Penny), Elizabeth "Scotty" Chrismer (Daniel) and George Wesley Mayo (Jeff Stoddard); her siblings, Virginia Taylor, Mary Anne Yates, Leonard and James Scott; her grandchildren, Brandon Snoddy (Brittany), Kyle Mayo (Chelsea), David Wade Haislip and Sara Mayo (Bryan); and her great grandchildren, Brian, Isabella, Brianna and Emma. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
