With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruby Manis Harris of Buckingham, Virginia, who passed away on February 10, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph L. Harris; her parents, David Manis and Mollie Manis; her parents-in-law, Russell and Frances Harris (Fannie); her siblings, Glen of Hugh, T. M., Vaughn Manis, Lucille West and Betty Carr; her son Terry Harris; and her grandson Russell Smith III.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bonita Smith, Karen Fowler (Allen), Donna Weddle and Faye Bryan (David); her daughter-in-law Nellie Harris; her grandchildren, Rhae Newbill (Scott), Dan Fowler (Melanie), Jennifer Burch (Chris), Matthew Weddle (Halee), Crystal Adcock (Kevin), Justin Bryan (Jamie) and Peggy Cunningham (Rick); her brothers, Paul Manis (Brenda) and Jack Manis (Betty); her sisters-in-law, Liz Manis and Helen Manis; her close friends, Barbara and Bernard Tolbert; and also Sheila. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of choice, or an act of kindness can be performed in honor of Ruby's memory.
