He is survived by: his wife Michelle (Howard) of Washington; his son Richard, Jr. (Jamon Simmons Davenport) of Miami, FL; his siblings, Josephene Haden of Charlottesville, Ellen Harris of Charlottesville, Irene Burns of Charlottesville, Ann Thurston (Wilbert) of Howardsville, Pat Ayers of Howardsville and George (Barbara Ann) of Charlottesville; his grandchildren, Kishyona, Quanika, Zykea, Mikaeel and Jennifer; his nephew George Ayres, Jr. of Charlottesville; and his close friend Krystal Kyle. He is also survived by other extended family members and friends.
