He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandfather Overton U. Mayo Sr.; his parents, Bertha Branch Mayo and Allen James Mayo of Buckingham, Virginia.; his children, Lawton K. Mayo, Wanda Mayo, Angela Mayo, Rita Mayo, Lolita Patrick, Overton U. Mayo Jr., John Mayo and Milton Mayo; and his siblings, Morris Mayo and Dorothy Johnson. He was also cherished by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other loving relatives, and friends.
