He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Garland Ragland, Sr. and Courtney Louise Ragland (Taylor); his daughter Gwendolyn Hope Ragland; and his siblings, Virginia Johnson, Marjorie Maddox, Flossie Tucker, Dorothy Adcock, Woodrow, Elwood, Benson, Odell, Junior and Jack Ragland.

He is survived by: his wife Hazel Ragland (LeSueur); his children, Jacqueline Kay Wagner (Chris) and James Todd Ragland (Carol Jacobs); his grandchildren, Matthew Wagner (Meagan), Ethan Wagner (Janean) and Megan Ragland; his great grandchildren, Gwyneth, Grayce, Elias, Emilia and Jason Wagner; his siblings, Shirley Hooker, Barbara Hackett, Vernelle Agee and Willie Eugene Ragland (Joan); and his sister-in-law Dorothy Ragland (Dot). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Dunkum Funeral Home (16923 Oak St, Dillwyn, VA 23936). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Glenmore Community Church (7988 Howardsville Rd, Buckingham, VA 23921). A burial was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at the Glenmore Community Church Cemetery (7988 Howardsville Rd, Buckingham, VA 23921).
