He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Garland Ragland, Sr. and Courtney Louise Ragland (Taylor); his son Francis Jackson "F. J." Ragland, Jr.; and his siblings, Virginia Johnson, Marjorie Maddox, Flossie Tucker, Dorothy Adcock, Woodrow, Elwood, Benson, Odell and Junior Ragland.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Adcock Ragland; his siblings, Shirley Hooker, Barbara Hackett, Vernell Agee, James Matthew Ragland (Hazel) and Willie Eugene Ragland (Joan); his grandchildren, Brianna Elaine Vetrano (Joshua) and Cameron Jackson Ragland (Marika); his great grandchildren, Peyton Corrine Ragland and Carson Jackson Ragland; and his siblings-in-law, Anne A. Timberlake (Tim) and Hugh W. Brown, Sr. (Jack).
