In the sacred silence of farewell, Bertha is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her former husband Walter Harvey Edwards; her husband William "Bill" Maxey; and her daughter Barbara Jean Edwards. She is survived by: her children, Charlotte Ann Hudgins, Walter "Bug" Edwards, Jr. (Angie), Louis Dean Edwards, Michael Leon Edwards (Scotty) and Mary Ann Robinson (Walt). She is also survived by her siblings and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and children.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sharon Baptist Church (3888 Glenridge Rd, Scottsville, VA 24590). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
