He is survived by: his wife Linda Sue Mitchell (Davis) of Cedar Bluff, VA; his stepchildren, Angela Vandyke (Robert) of North Carolina and Kim Keen (Donald) of North Carolina; his stepgrandchildren, Courtney Yates, Emily Marshall, Riley Vandyke and Cody Keen; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Zachary Yates, Hunter Marshall, Vernon "Rube" Mitchell (Joann) of Bristol, TN, Connie Vanover of Bristol, TN, Gerald O'Dell (Nathan) of Bristol, TN, Carol Gilbert of Virginia Beach, VA and Patsy Prater of Abingdon, VA.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
