It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Valerie Jo Hurley of Buchanan, Virginia, born in Grundy, Virginia, who passed away on May 21, 2023, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Hankins and Donna Jean Hankins (Roberts); and her grandmother Ethel Roberts. She is survived by: her husband Emory "Weasel" Hurley; her son Jacob "Jake" Hurley (Teresa Irick) of Hurley, VA.; her nephew Rickey; and her friends, Kathy, Nikki, Kim, Karen and Mitch Blankenship. She is also survived by several sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
In lieu of flowers (or in addition to), donations may be made to Grundy Funeral Home to help cover the funeral expenses for Valerie.
