He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Stump and Myrtle Stump (Miller); and his siblings, Mary Meadows, Judy Ramey and Jerry Stump.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas "Tommy" L. Stump Jr. (Diane) of Grundy, VA, Teresa Mullins (Ricky) of Shortt Gap, VA and Traci Johnson of Russell County, VA; his grandchildren, Dylan Stump, Ashley Stump, Deana Gilbert and Jeff Childress; his great grandchildren, Timmy Childress, Jerri Childress, Eli Childress and Catherine Childress; and his siblings, Michael Stump, Ella Mae Peck and Betty Taylor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Grundy Funeral Home (22208 Riverside Dr, Grundy, VA 24614). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 7:00 PM and on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
