He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Rife and Jean Rife (Hall); his siblings, Hershel Rife, Joyce Rife Dotson, Judy Rife Wolford and Janet Rife Dotson; and his brothers-in-law, Donald Hurley, Ellery Dotson and BJ Wolford.
He is survived by: his son Terry Nicholas Rife (Ashley); his grandson Braxten Nicholas Rife; his siblings, Hassell Rife (Lorraine) of Stopover, KY, Ralph Rife (Wilma) of Stopover, KY, Christine Hurley of Stopover, KY and Lorena Cline (Tracy) of Elk Creek, KY.; and his close friend James "Gooch" Hurley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
