He was predeceased by: his parent Jefferson Thomas; his wife Malvia Elizabeth Murdock Ball; his children, Columbus Allen Ball, James Ball, Christina Ball and Lee Roy Murdock; his siblings, Jay Ball, Howard Ball, Zed Ball, Dolly Campbell, Ruby Hamilton and Gay Puckett; his son-in-law James David Ball; and his significant other Elenora Ball.
He is survived by: his parent Louisa Jane Davis Ball; his children, Mary Ann Ball of Honaker and Gary Hurley Ball of Lebanon; his grandchildren, Gerald Ball (Joanie) of Swords Creek, Ashley Hale (Kevin Clark) of Honaker and Mary Beth Hale of Columbia; his great grandchildren, Felicity Anderson, Logan Anderson, Justin Ball, Blair Clark, Tabitha Clark and Milez Clark; and his sister Ellen Fay Tiller of Council. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
