She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Boyd and Rachel Boyd; her children, Dixie Joan Jackson, Catherine Nell Gerber Wright, Eric Randall "Randy" Colley and Joseph Leonard "Joe" Gerber; and her siblings, Lexie Boyd, Lydia Boyd, Tazie Jane Deel, Annie Boyd, Mae Deel, Tivis Boyd, Sydney Boyd and Whetzel Boyd.
She is survived by: her children, Judith L. "Judy" Boyd of Vansant, VA, Curtis Lee Colley Jr. (Vickie Lloyd) of Draper, VA and Terry Lee Colley (Vicky) of Vansant, VA; her stepdaughter El Freda Colley of Florida; and her close friends, Martha Boyd, Orpha Deel, Opal Boyd, Iva Gaye Hawks and Estelle Boyd. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
