He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Clarence and Annie Larue Hogston (Varney); and his daughter-in-law Shirley Hogston. He is survived by: his wife Gladys; his granddaughter Amanda Perrigan (Bobby) of Haysi, VA; his great grandchildren, Alexandria, Julianna, IsaBella and Gwendolyn; his grandson Daniel J. Hogston (Chika) of Okinawa; and his great grandchild Hinata. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
