It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura Alaphare Dotson (Buchanan, Virginia), born in Pikeville, Kentucky, who passed away on April 30, 2020, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Scarberry and Janet Alaphare Scarberry (Daugherty); and her grandparents, Hiram Mahlon, Margaret Faith Daugherty (Coleman), Sherman and Ollie Scarberry (Blankenship). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
