He is survived by: his children, Shannon Ray Prater (Amy Beth) of Harman, VA, Kristi Nicole Street (Brian) of Sevierville, TN, Amanda Michelle Prater (Chris Endicott) of Tazewell, VA and Lexi Nicole Prater of Harman, VA; his grandchildren, Emily Grace, Abby Rae and Gage; his sister Helen Newberry of Richlands, VA.; and his nephew Chris Allen.
