He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey E. Dean and Jean McGovern Dean; and his brother Thomas P. Dean. He is survived by: his brother Robert Mark Dean, MD; his sister-in-law Mary Anne Dean; his nieces, Catherine Dean Wright (Jason) and Kelly Dean Madsen (Greg); his great-nephews, Brian Christopher Wright and Gabriel Thomas Wright; and his close friend Ann Carroll. He is also survived by three cousins.
