He was predeceased by: his parent Earnest Helton; and his siblings, Johnny Helton and Mary Ann Helton. He is survived by: his parent Ruby Pauline Arwood Helton; his spouse Shirley Helton; his daughter Dedra Dotson; his grandchildren, Norman Ray Cole (Stevie), Jimmy Lee Cole, Craig Allen Cole and Edward Glen Cole; his siblings, Sue McGlothlin, Carol Cook (Doug), Darlene Dye (Tim), Charlene Farmer (Donnie), Willard Helton (Patty), Billy Helton (Anita), Ralph Helton (Sissy) and Rick Helton (Jeannie); and his nephew Clayton Farmer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
