She was predeceased by: her parents, Waymen Hurley and Madeline Hurley (Jackson); her husband Kermit Dotson; her daughter Norma Dotson; her grandchildren, Marcus Aaron Justus, Cason James Lockhart, Thomas Bartholomew Oliva and Aiden Tripp Dotson; and her siblings, James, Cecil Hurley and Betty Dotson.
She is survived by: her children, Darrel Dotson, Harold Dotson (Sandra), Eddie Dotson, Keith Dotson (Sonja), Chris Dotson (Cathy), Rebecca Slone (Lawrence), Kermit Lee Dotson (Tabitha), Matthew Dotson (Mandy), Dennis Hurley, Danny Hurley, Ervin Hurley, Sharon Dotson, Brookie Estep, Shelby Thurman, Linda McClanahan and Ruby Justus; and her caregiver Ginger Hurley. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Jackson Chapel Freewill Baptist Church (4555 Pawpaw Rd, Hurley, VA 24620). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 7:00 PM, on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
