He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Monroe Chapman and Leurie Griffey Chapman Robinette; his wife Thelma Jean Chapman (Estep) of Grundy, VA; his children, Debbie Chapman Beck (Mark) of Inverness, FL, Brenda Chapman, Lisa Chapman, Rebecca Chapman Justus (Sonny), James Chapman Jr (Lynn), Danny Chapman (Crystal), Timothy Chapman (Mary) and Aaron Chapman; and his sister-in-law Irene Ling. He was also cherished by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
