He is survived by: his parent Pearl Childress (Hagy); his spouse Pearlie Mae Childress (Barbour); and also, Jim Wayne Childress (Margaret Wakeland), Dennis Witton Childress (Sharon) and Warren Keith Childress (Diane). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
