He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Spencer and Callie Spencer (Stiltner); his wife Lois Velda Spencer (Christian); his daughter Heather Spencer; and his siblings, Homer Spencer, Ernest Spencer, Clarence Spencer, Kathleen Spencer Mulkey, Irvine Spencer, Phyllis Spencer and Julie Spencer.
He is survived by: his children, Krissie Spencer McGlothlin (Robin) of Grundy, VA and George Spencer (Cindy) of Mouthcard, KY; and his grandchildren, Ashton Christian McGlothlin, Abigail Kylie McGlothlin, Serenity Faith McGlothlin, Courtney Spencer, Hannah Spencer, Robert Spencer of Home Creek, VA, Junior Spencer of Home Creek, VA, Linda Spencer Phillips of Cleveland, OH and Nancy Spencer Funk of Phelps, KY.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
