With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Ann Akers of Buchanan, Virginia, who passed away on December 31, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Newberry and Cora Newberry (McClanahan). She is survived by: her children, Diane Stump (Thomas) of Grundy, VA and Jonathan Akers of Grundy, VA; her grandchildren, Ashley Deann Stump, Dylan Stump (Rebecca), Leigha Childress and Nikki Akers; and her great grandchildren, Richie Smith and Natalie Akers. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
