He was predeceased by: his parents, Waymen Hurley and Madeline Hurley (Jackson); his former wife Maggie Hurley; his daughter Angel Hurley Justus; his brother James Hurley; and his granddaughter Destiny Alexandria Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Danford Hurley (Smith) of Stopover, KY; his daughters, Guseene "Dusty" Ling (Gerald) of Hurley, VA and Joannie Edwards (Chris) of Haysi, VA; his grandchildren, Travis Ling (Kristen), Christopher Alex Justus, Damian "Tate" Edwards and Victoria Edwards; his great grandchildren, Elliott Edwards, Blake Edwards, Willow Trimm and Ashton Edwards; and his siblings, Ervin Hurley (Bonnie), Danny Hurley (Sandy), Dennis Hurley (Wanda), Jewell Dotson, Sharon Dotson (Jerry), Betty Dotson, Shelby Thurman (Ron), Linda McClanahan, Ruby Justus and Brookie Estep (Paul). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
