He is survived by: his wife Virginia Edith Sykes; his daughters, Janice Sue Sykes Ball of Meadowview, Debora Ann Sykes Penley of Honaker, Barbara Elaine Sykes Skeens of Blountville and Pauline Michelle Sykes Christopher (Anthony) of Hackberry, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Jerry Ball, Terry Ball, Cody Ball, Angela Johnson, Amy Penley Clark, Fredrick Skeens, Leeann Mims, Travis Skeens, Chanse Ball and Kasey Sykes; his great grandchildren, Lakin Ball, Emmalee Johnson, Bella Clark, Owen Clark, Matthew Worley and Leo Ball; and his great great grandchildren, Amelia Ball, Hayden Worley, Adalynn Worley, Daniel Womack, Logan Womack and Zak Womack. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
