He is survived by: his wife Shirley Conners Elder of Brookneal; his sister Mary Elder Smith of Brookneal; his nieces, Cynthia Jennings of Gladys and Donna Waller of Phenix; his nephew Matthew Elder of Brookneal; and his sister-in-law Peggy Conners Elliott of Brookneal. He is also survived by great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
