With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peggy Lipscomb Montgomery of Brookneal, Virginia, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on January 15, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Richard T. Montgomery; her parents, Colgate Lipscomb and Maude Elder Lipscomb; and her siblings, James C. Lipscomb, Robert Keith Lipscomb, Randolph William Lipscomb, June Carolyn Smith and Sylvia Gayle Guthrie.
She is survived by: her sisters, Glenda L. Guthrie of Lynchburg and Deborah L. Lacks (Carlton) of Brookneal; and her caregiver Lisa Morton of Greensboro. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, especially her niece.
