She was predeceased by: her husband Bryan Edward Owen, Sr.; her parents, Joseph Stone Crews and Mattie "Ethel" Robey Crews; her son Bryan Edward Owen, Jr.; and her siblings, J. T. Crews (Bernice), Raymond Crews (Janie), Robert Crews, Billy Crews, Edwin Crews, Herbert Crews (Kathleen), Virginia Compton (James), Lucille George (Troy) and Barbara Jean Roakes (Ed).
She is survived by: her son Scott Lambert Owen (Ruby Lott) of Brookneal; her nieces, Sandra Francis and Susan Nash; her nephew David Roakes; and her close friend Nancy Robertson of Gladys. She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Brookneal Baptist Church (304 Wickliffe Rd, Brookneal, VA 24528). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at the Wickliffe Cemetery.
